Ellesmere College’s Lower School has seen an increase in pupil numbers this year. The school, which caters for children between the ages of 7 to 13, has seen a steady rise over previous years. The Lower School operates out of a purpose built part of the College. Here we provide a broad education whilst at the same time preparing children for progression into the main school. Pupils pursue a wide range of challenging activities from music to sport, academic clubs to drama. Head of Lower School, Sharon Owen, said “Our aim is to provide a caring, positive environment where we can foster the children’s academic, physical and social development. Our broad curriculum, both in and out of the classroom, is designed not only so that each individual can fulfill his or her potential, but also to find and develop those skills and interests that we believe every child possess'. This message has spread, and as a result places at Lower School are quickly filled. It is a very exciting time” |
